The electricfelix project has always obsessed about finding the best price for your (fast) charging needs. At the end of 2021 Tesla did something pretty spectacular: they opened several Dutch Tesla Superchargers through their app. Anybody could fast charge using the CCS plug. Since my first visit (2nd of November 2021) a lot has changed: all Dutch (and Norwegian) Tesla Superchargers can now be used by anyone with a vehicle fit for CCS fast chargers. They’ve added more markets, in places like Sweden, Denmark, France, Spain many Superchargers can be used by everyone (your Tesla account has to be from a participating country).

In total, Tesla is now active with their pilot program in 16 countries. The most recent addition was Italy (not counting USA and Australia). Tesla has published a lot of info on the pilot. Most importantly: you can only activate a Tesla Supercharger with your “regular EV” using the Tesla app: iPhone & Android.

This page is intended to show you the most recent pricing at the Tesla Superchargers for all. I call this:

#PublicSuperchargingInEurope 🇪🇺

This page was updated on 21st of June, 2023. Next update expected in July!

Biggest change this week: peak hours have changed almost all over Europe (now mostly between 6PM and 10PM).

Late in 2022 Tesla introduced “peak pricing” in Europe. At first, it was just certain locations and then they rolled it out Europe-wide. In most countries, it simply means an “off-peak” tariff that’s running till 6PM and after 10PM. But Tesla wouldn’t be Tesla to not have a secret hatched egg called Spain: where “peak” is just between 8PM and midnight.

We’ll use France as the example. A typical site (Metz-Sud) now has a Tesla price of €0,32/kWh (off-peak) vs €0,35/kWh (peak).

But: if you just pass by and use the same Supercharger with your Volvo: €0,43/kWh vs €0,47/kWh.

The € 12,99/month membership (available in the app, can be cancelled anytime) offers “more discount” during peak hours.

Oh yeah: Prices mentioned here are only an indication. Tesla varies pricing even within countries, so your mileage may vary locally. Especially up in Norway, prices really get slashed if you drive all the way north!

Perhaps more important than the prices itself is the Pace of Change at Tesla. Week after week new huge sites open all over Europe. It’s one of the easiest recommendations to electric travelers. This app gets you instant access to some of the very biggest charging hubs of Europe and if you’re driving a 400V powered vehicle it’s one of the best deals around.

The latest 24x250kW site to “open to all” in France! Noyelles-Godault. (Just east of Lens).
